What really would you consider as the secret to success in life? I guess you have very many different answers because many people have succeeded in their lives with different methods. But have you woken up one day and asked any of them the secret to their success? Many successful people known to us always have a very strong answer which is " I succeeded because i worked hard", but do you think that is all? Is it all the work hard that they put as their effort to success?
Well lets read through this common story of Socrates and the young man who wanted the trick to success.
A young man asked Socrates the secret to success.
Socrates told the young man to meet him near the river the next morning.
They met. Socrates asked the young man to walk with him towards the river.
When the water got up their neck, Socrates took the young man by surprise and ducked him into the water. The boy struggled to get out but Socrates was so strong and kept him there until the boy started turning blue. Socrates pulled his head out of the water and the first thing the young man did was gasp and take a deep breath of air.
Socrates asked, "What did you want the most when you were in there?" The boy replied, "Air"
Socrates said, "That is the secret to success" as he added on "When you want success as badly as you wanted the air, then you will get it" " That is the secret to success!"
Someone may tell you they worked hard, but the only thing that drives you to success is how bad we want it. The much desire we have is what will make us work harder and harder everyday.
Then ask yourself, how bad do you want to succeed?
